Performance

Two engine options are offered under the hood this year, including:

  • 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine with 389-horsepower and 479 pounds-feet of torque
  • 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 hybrid engine with electric motor-generator with 437-horsepower and 583 pounds-feet of torque

Both engines get paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission with standard rear-wheel drive. Four-wheel drive is available on all models and comes standard on some. It also features a new multi-link suspension system, or an available adaptive variable suspension.

Design

The 2022 Tundra gets a large facelift this year. It now has a redesigned hexagonal grille, LED headlights, and a large Tundra nameplate on the tailgate. There's a Double Cab and Crew Max configuration with multiple bed sizes. Inside the cabin, you'll enjoy comfortable seating for five passengers on either cloth or leather upholstery.

Technology

An 8-inch touchscreen comes standard, but you can upgrade to a larger 14-inch horizontal touchscreen. All models come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility so you can connect and control your smartphone.

Safety

All 2022 Tundra models come with a suite of driver assistance features. You'll enjoy blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, and more.
